Material Motion
An abstract journey using geometric forms
We created three films for an innovation event at Logitech’s headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. Each film offers an abstract journey through the colours, materials, and finishes of key product ranges, designed to evoke the experience of using the products. Inspired by the geometric forms of the Logitech logo, we developed a concentric material structure that adapts and evolves, reflecting the design processes behind each material palette. Despite their unique characters, the films work together harmoniously as a cohesive set.
Macro compositions and shallow depth of field create an intimate and tactile experience with the premium finishes and micro-textures of the Advanced Performance range. High contrast lighting and precise motion principles give us the feeling of sophisticated mastery.
Setting a baseline standard in the Logitech portfolio, the Core range has a stripped-back and simplified material palette. With a wider lens and a low-angle camera, this film speaks to a grounded, architectural sense of scale. In a bright, daylight environment, the calm and weighted blocks move to find symmetry and balance.
The broad and playful material palette of the Expressive Legendary products commanded a more energised and snappier feel. Whipping camera moves and blocks that rarely stood still show the potential combinations of the palette rising from the system within.
