As a part of our ongoing collaboration with Map Project Office, this film showcases IBM’s latest development in generative AI computing, fibre optic technology. We visualised the fabrication of the chip in a sequence that highlights the speed and bandwidth of fibre optic connections.
Combining the speed of light with intricate material insights, we dived into the chip’s optical components to present the inner workings in meticulous detail. This focus on clarity allowed us to present these complex technologies in the most accessible way.
Our animations reveal the sophisticated high-speed inner workings of the chip’s technology, capturing light pulses and internal reflections that drive its exceptional performance.
Every intricate detail is accurately represented and captured through macro camerawork and seamless component animation, guiding the viewer on an immersive journey deep inside the chip’s architecture.
Experiments with light and speed provided valuable insights into how beams enter and navigate the chip’s waveguide innovation. Precise control over these beams allowed us to modulate their speed and direction, ensuring accurate visualisation of the chip’s optical components.
